Earthshaking Experience of the Scary Kind

I woke up very early this morning and was surprised that my body clock went off earlier than usual. It was still very dark outside and everything was still so I lay there waiting for sleep to set back in. It wasn’t long until the bed started moving, jerking my body to the left a couple of times. There was a rumbling sound like trucks running in frenzy and I could hear the table near me banging on the wall. I was dreading a stronger one but Thank God it didn’t happen.

It was the strongest and one of three reported earthquakes in my area just for today.  Four days ago, we felt a much stronger quake expected to trigger a tsunami that sent almost everyone in panic. Thankfully, the tsunami alert was lifted before anyone had a heart attack.

What is up with these earthquakes?!? and I do not mean that as a question for fear that the quakes recur and answer me back. I am beginning to regret every embarrassing moment I wished the ground  would open and swallow me whole. Anyway, there is no harm in preparing for the worst so I'm posting here Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology's (PHIVOLCS) Earthquake Preparedness Guide:
